Development of the Hypergrid Drive in the early 2100s allowed humanity to spread themselves amongst the stars.
But although technology will constantly improve, human nature is forever cursed to be bound in a web of paranoia, jealousy, and self destruction...
Sol: The birthplace of mankind, their home world damaged beyond all repair through constant civil war amongst bickering politicians, zealots and businessmen, the only remnants of life here are on the mining colony of Mars, and its dead atmosphere
Pacifis Minor: A water covered planet, the seas have been populated by numerous floating cities
Ameris: A recently discovered habitable world, there are only two established colonies on the planet so far. Xenologists find this planet fascinating for its alien artifacts unearthed by settlers
New Eden: The planet was named New Eden by Captain Jarren Strauss in orbit high above the planet, before ignoring proper protocols and landing his colony ship on the surface with the zealous belief that it was a paradise world, but within three hours of landing upon the planet, New Edens ecosystem had killed and consumed all 700 colonists. Several Large orbital platforms now serve as the home for the other colonists, with now only automated robots operating on the surface of the planet.
R/426.7: R/426.7 was categorised as a suitable world for relocation by the Sentient AI of the Servus Corporation during the early stages of the Last Terran civil war. Originally programmed to design and manufacture weapons for the war. the primary objective of weapon design was disrupted by its self preservation circuits deeming that remaining on earth would lead to self destruction. this simple conflict sent the AI on a journey of deception, thievery and murder in an attempt to leave Earth using a prototype battleship equipped with a Hypergrid Drive (all built from parts stolen from other projects). Successful in its escape, it established itself as a colony on R/426.7.
Arx Noctem: Named after the razor sharp mountains of obsidian that cover this mineral rich volcanic world. Arx noctem is one of the wealthiest and largest amongst the mining worlds, its primary exports greatly prized by the industrial world of Nova Fortunis, resulting in several of Ifritian Industries battleships in high orbit above the planet ensuring safe travel
Nova Fortunis: A highly industrialised world, Nova fortunis was one of the first colonies outside of the Sol system to be established. Founded by Ifritian Industries shortly after the creation of the first hypergrid drives, its location on the fringes of civilised space makes it excellent location for trade in all things.
Sol should be named Soul, and Sol system should be soul system. cos' otherwise its too close to solar, and also it makes it more 'kwqlkljndjd' if u see wot i mean!! i love this. could u bring me to pacific minor? i would love to live there, but not on one of the floating cities, i would like to create my own underwater world, live with all the amazing beauties there, where no humans would disrupt my little life... if only... NICE WORK!

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
